Beer Board

The Town of Jasper Beer Board is composed of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.  The Mayor serves as the Beer Board Chairman.  Meetings shall be held at the call of the chairman and at such other times as the board may determine. All meetings shall be announced and open to the public.  Any persons wishing to obtain a beer permit can do so by completing the permit application and submitting it along with a 250.00 non-refundable application fee to the Jasper City Hall.

Board of Mayor & Aldermen

Meeting Agendas & Minutes


 

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen is the legislative body for the Town of Jasper, this Board consists of a Mayor and four Aldermen who are elected at-large.  Regular meetings of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen are held in the Jasper Annex Building located at 700 Philips Avenue on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 P.M.  All meetings are subject to rescheduling so the public is encouraged to check the official calendar.  Items for the Board's consideration are directed to the Office of the City Recorder which prepares agendas for the Board.

Meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.

Parks & Recreation Board

The Jasper Parks and Recreation Board serves as an advisory body to the Town of Jasper.  The Board's duties include advising and making recommendations to the Mayor and Aldermen with regard to parks, recreation services, and programs for the Town of Jasper.  The Jasper Parks and Recreation Board strives to provide instructional, competitive and social activities for people of all ages. Jasper’s facilities provide the opportunity for citizens to use their leisure time in a healthy, gratifying and inexpensive manner while giving the youth the opportunity to pursue the recreational activity of their choice.

Planning Commission

 

The Jasper Planning Commission acts in a formal, advisory role, making recommendations to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. The most fundamental implementation tool is zoning. The zoning ordinance establishes regulations for the use of land and some standards for development within identified zoning district boundaries.  The Jasper Planning Commission plays an integral part in maintaining the development of Jasper, while assisting developers and the general public in negotiating the zoning and other regulations.
